The Lahaina Villager Bus will help to reduce traffic in town and provide affordable mobility for Lahaina residents. The Lahaina Village Bus will be run with a smaller 25 passenger bus. The emissions of a 25 passenger bus are much less than the emissions from 25 cars. Traveling by public transportation uses less energy and produces less pollution than comparable travel in private vehicles. Much of the congestion in Lahaina is caused by cross town residential automobile trips.
