EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Job Description:
The ED leads the organization forward utilizing LBN’s nine core strategies. The ED works with all sectors of the community from volunteers to government officials in a pro-active, positive manner. The ED constantly keeps the work of LBN in the public eye through media exposure, public events, speaking engagements, etc. The ED demonstrates inclusive community leadership and creative problem solving and is responsible for strategic planning and organizational development.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent administrative skills including budgeting
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Self starter
- Ability to speak in public to both small and large groups
- Solution oriented, creative problem solver
- Understanding of, or skills in marketing and public relations
- Knowledge of non-profit organizational management

Lahaina Bypass Phase 1A Update: The discovery of agricultural terraces in the area of the Lahaina Bypass Phase 1A has temporarily stalled the start of construction. At this date, no burials have been found in the proposed corridor. DOT is currently exploring all design alternatives and mitigation measures to resolve the issue. LBN acknowledges the 30 years of delays and frustration that the Lahaina community has endured waiting for this highway project to get underway. | For the eighth year in a row, Historic Lahaina Town will be hosting the fireworks at 8:00 pm on July Fourth. For a convenient and inexpensive way to get to Lahaina for the fireworks, take the bus. The Maui Bus will have extended service on West Maui routes including the Ka’anapali and Napili Islander Routes, costing $1 per boarding. |

The Lahaina Villager Bus is scheduled to start service in August and will go through the Lahainaluna, Wahikuli, and Villages of Leiali’i neighborhoods and make a continuous loop through town. This new bus route will connect to existing county buses servicing areas such as Kaanapali, Napili, Maalaea, and Wailuku. The bus route will operate from 8am to 11pm and will be FREE.
